A true farm find. This treasure exudes all the traits of a depression era cupboard. However, we think this was made later. A cultural expression of farming Australia in the 50's? A make do, made for a purpose, from found materials and repurposed fixtures piece. It was very 'farm fresh' upon arrival. It has had a good work over by our furniture doctor, and we must admit a few new screws and some new timber had to be enlisted to save it. It is structurally sound. Many sessions of cleaning, scrubbing, sanding, oiling, waxing and buffing have resulted in a surprisingly polished tactile experience. One for those who desire primitive pieces without the primitive price tag.
