We've never met an antique hall tree until now.
We think its an absolute treasure. We can imagine it elegantly gracing a lovely entrance or hall space, adorned with hats and pretty umbrellas.
It's timber is wonderfully rich in tone and (hard to see in these images) has been worn so smooth by human touch. Quite possibly an early piece (potentially late 1800's/early 1900's) although we make no claims to being antique experts.
This hall tree still has the brass drip tray in the bottom, marked/stained over time and clearly once used as a plant holder given the ring patina on the base. Full disclosure: the far right spindle has been damaged and repaired in the past and is holding firm. Overall, a spectacular piece.
