The best finds are the ones with SO much character and charm. The kind of rustic charm that has been forced upon a treasure and etched its presence onto all facets...in it or on it. This table hasn't really just been left as found. It has been rebuilt. On inspection this can be seen. So far 'gone' that a tedious repair job was necessary and some additional good strength glue has been involved. Then, it has been cleaned (it was very dirty and grimy), had a gentle sand, so as not to remove the historical nuances of a life in a shed/workshop and a good dose of beeswax and essential oils have been applied. Sometimes we just leave them- in their state of original authenticity- but not in disrepair and certainly not unloved. Original nails as they were, hang something on them!
A fully functional table, although we don't recommend getting on it to rehearse your latest bar dance moves.
