Bagru printing is the name given to traditional block printing from the village of Bagru in Rajasthan, India. Wooden blocks are handcarved and then printed onto natural fibre fabrics using natural dyes.

For as many as 500 centuries, impoverished Benglai women have taken their discarded cloth scraps and sewn them together with a simple running stitch, taking the old and reimposing it into something useful and beautiful. The word 'Kantha' is derived from this running stitch and has become synonymous with the quilts themselves.
